Richard Moss graduated from Loughborough Colleges in 1970 and took up his first
post in Leicester teaching Physical Education and Mathematics, becoming Head pf PE in 1971. He moved into Sports Centre
Management in 1974 at a large coeducational independent school in the East Midlands. It was here that he was encouraged to
concentrate on the teaching of mathematics and in 1988 he gained his BA degree from the Open University and moved
into the maths classroom full-time. In 1995 he became Head of Mathematics, at a boys' school in Birmingham and for the
last four years has been based at Cadbury 6th Form College as Outreach Worker for Mathematics in Birmingham and more recently,
Partnership Coordinator between the largest 'A' level provider in Birmingham and its feeder schools.
He has the distinction of being one of a few men who have a European Cup Winners medal for Women's Hockey
whilst managing Leicester Ladies H.C. in the early '90s when they won the Bronze medal in Cardiff. In December of 2009
he was awarded an Honorary BSc degree from Loughborough University.
